Good breakdown of the game. Enjoyed this bit, given how amazing Barkley was this year, and how stopping him turned out to not matter.
Imagine being a Chiefs fan and getting to see pieces of the box score of this game in advance. The Chiefs did the best job any team has done all season against Saquon Barkley, who ran 25 times for 57 yards. The Eagles went 3-for-12 on third downs, failed to convert their only fourth down, turned the ball over in the red zone and averaged 5.1 yards per play -- fewer than the Chiefs. All of that sounds like the sort of game the Chiefs would expect to win given what they're capable of doing on offense.
Chiefs got outschemed on both sides of the ball. It was remarkable to see. Eagles used their desire to stop Barkley and their aggressive blitzing against them.
What I was most shocked at is the way the Philly DLine dominated and the Chiefs didn't play their usual style of Hold on every play and assume they won't call it. I wonder if because of the controversy the league told the teams they game would be called tight. Last year, Bosa was getting held on almost every play, pulled to the ground as Mahomes is running for a first down to extend the game tying drive in the 4th quarter. I mean, how many Super Bowls would the Chiefs have if they had to play by the same rules as everyone else. Maybe 1. They would have likely still beat the 49ers the first time, but they wouldn't have beat them last year or the Eagles the year before.

For once the Chiefs were on the receiving end of multiple bad calls in a row. They did not know how to rebound from that.

I think about that old joke about how an honest politician is one that stays bought, and that the Chiefs are likely horrified at how dishonest these refs are.
