Worth the money? I used to pay the 20$/month, and stopped doing that as I got enough from the free tier usage... also, the pay as you go option using lightning payments comes in handy if i really need a lot of queries in a row.
It's my first month. I mainly did it to test out Operator. (Which I was pretty unimpressed by.)
But they also have a Deep Research mode which I think is only available to pro subscribers. This is the one that gave me a really good answer. Specifically, I was hoping for it to find the legal basis that authorized LA city council members to behave a certain way. It cited the correct part of the legal code, which I verified. DeepSeek did not find this for me, and seemed to base its answers more off news articles (which could be a problem given the quality of journalism that we have.)
I also have a pay-as-you-go API subscription, but apparently deep research isn't useable through the API either.
