Shopify should and has retained the right to do business with who they please. Just like not forcing bakers to violate their beliefs Shopify has the right to stand for what they want to. Kanye can easily go use someone else like you mentioned. He isnt tied to Shopify he has other options.

Shopify Bans Ye (Kanye West) From Its Services

IMO Shopify CANNOT violate anyone's freedom of speech. Freedom of association is not discussed enough and it misunderstood. Only the state can violate freedom of speech. This isn't popular with many bitcoiners but its true. Its why we need things like bitcoin and Nostr. 

This is censorship though and I am sure Kanye agreed to their terms of service. 

While I may disagree with a business or individual's standards they have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason and I have the right to also refuse to use their service or associate with them.

Kanye, if he is so smart and cares so much could/should use sovereign tech... but he seems to revile in controversy. He seems to like being censored. He seems to try to make points.
