Time to overcome ALCOHOL by swallowing pills??
University of North Carolina psychiatrist Christian Hendershot and colleagues found weekly injections of semaglutide, better known as Ozempic or Wegovy, not only decreased consumption in those with symptoms of alcohol use disorder compared to those given a placebo, but reduced patient cravings too.
If this holds true, it could be life-changing for the almost 30 million people in the US with alcohol use disorder.
Did Ozempic ever helped decrease weight? The study isn't a large one but this might propel wives to mix these pills in food or drinks for their partners. They sure think drinking binge is unhealthy!!
BTW this is my third attempt reporting the same issue. There was another study on the same topic #789855 and Nature told benefits of Ozempic here #755570.
I can’t wait to see what horrible effects these kinds of drugs cause in the future. I don’t trust all the hype around them.

I too. These or any such promise making drugs are never good for sustainable and real health. The natural remedies are always best and never harmful.

It's a once weekly injection.
It also gives the patient an increased risk of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma.

That's Rybelsus.

The oral version of Ozempic, Rybelsus, is great for those who have a phobia of needles. Both medications are equally effective — the main difference between the two is that Rybelsus is taken daily and Ozempic is injected weekly.

They are both semaglutide, yes. By name they are different. Ozempic refers to the injection. Rybelsus refers to the pill.
i.e. There is no Ozempic pill. There is a pill form of semaglutide. It's called Rybelsus.
I will die on this hill :P

i.e. Ozempic and Rebelsus are names for the same drug Semaglutide.
BTW I never said Ozempic is a pill. I asked it. There is a ? at the end of the sentence. I knew someone would be interested to know how and when these pills came.
