It's going to be fascinating to see what results from all this.
People who have been anti-productive are now competing for jobs in the productive economy. That's going to be a double whammy of productivity enhancement: less government obstruction and lower marginal labor costs.
Maybe some of them will even start businesses, rather than squashing them.

You never know, but the drag they have represented on the economy will now be gone! That is the most important point of the whole exercise. I posted another article about just this topic: #890921 The productivity that China has now may just be from a previous downsizing by Deng!
