Many people now do searches on Reddit, instead of Google. (How desperate must you be to trust Redditors—that’s how bad search engines have gotten.) But this makes Reddit vulnerable to a Google backlash

lol, so true, and brutal.  For a while, I was appending "reddit" at the end of my google searches to get better results, and recently I think that's stopped working well.
