In the latest U.S. presidential elections, as expected, Trump won by a landslide. His victory was acknowledged even by the Democratic candidate, Kamala, the very next day. Trump openly declared his goals: to restore the greatness and authority of the U.S., which had hit its lowest levels during the Obama and Biden presidencies. Under Biden, the world was on the brink of WWIII.
In the Trump-Kamala duel, I never even considered rooting for Kamala; however, I must say that no politician, no matter who, makes me go crazy for them. Not even Trump. Simply put, between the two candidates, Trump was the better choice for me. I hoped his election would have a positive impact on the world and my country.
Many anti-Trumpists haven’t stopped spewing venom against him; according to them, everything he says and does is wrong. They disagree with Trump’s stance on Zelensky, Ukraine, and Russia. In reality, the Russia-Ukraine conflict began much earlier, not in February 2022: the Azov Battalion’s crimes against the Russian-speaking population in Donetsk, the referendum where those regions voted to join Russia, etc. That conflict was further provoked by the Biden administration and Europe, and it escalated when they pushed for Ukraine to join NATO—an act that was practically a declaration of war against Russia and the beginning of WWIII. The result: one and a half million dead Ukrainians and Russians, Ukraine in ruins, war industry tycoons got richer, and American and European taxpayers paid, as they say, over 350 billion euros—out of which roughly 100 billion are unaccounted for. Where did they go? Into the pockets of U.S. officials or Zelensky? Sooner or later, this issue will be unraveled.
Oh, did you hear the latest news? Apparently, Trump is a secret Russian agent, recruited by the KGB in 1987 under the codename Krasnov.
I have nothing more to say. Fairy tales… See you around.
If the russian aggresion rationale is "Ukraine wants to join NATO" that kinda proves the point that joining NATO would be the good idea for them right all along, right?

China has won the trade war. It is perfectly logical, in fact inevitable, that China extend its power reach from trade domination to military and strategic power projection.
All empires built on trade domination are forced to project their power to protect and enhance the resource hegemony/trade routes that are vital to a dominant trading nation.
USA is a failing decadent legacy power facing the rise of Chinese wealth and power. More new millionaires and billionaires are created in China everyday that USA. Young Chinese quite reasonably look forward to a brighter future while young Americans cannot.
Trump is enabling and legitimising Putins land grab in Ukraine and by so doing encourages Chinas strategy of incrementally dismantling the USA led global order and replacing it with a world where China is predominant.
Allowing and enabling Chinas expansion might be an expedient short term move for USA but longer term it cements the decline and collapse of US wealth and power as it alienates traditional allies and isolates USA.

No, but TDS is definitely real.

On the Russian/Ukraine conflict, you have those who believe that the conflict started in 2022 with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and those who believe it started in 2014 with the coup against the then democratic elected president of Ukraine (or even before, when NATO made it clear to Russia of it plans to expand eastwards, contrary to what had been agreed after the fall of the Berlin Wall)
These two point of views are irreconcilable. Most people I know who belong to the first group see Putin as the aggressor, Trump as a Russian asset, etc, whereas those in the second group, like you, see it with more nuance.

Speaking of nuance you fail to see Chinas role in the greater game.
Putin is a Chinese proxy. Russia is now reliant upon Chinas purchase of their oil and gas and Chinas routing of trade payments via its alternative trade payments network based in Hong Kong. China is building a global new order and Putin is an attack dog military proxy and economic tributary to China.
