is it fair to say that Silk Road was one of the first real things to give an initial and compelling use case to btc? enjoyers of illicit substances were certainly motivated and I'm sure it was part of the early network effect.
or do you think btc would have caught traction in a different way, and maybe captured less negative media attention along the way?
I think it would have just stayed a nieche tech experiment that would probably have gone nowhere in the end, harsh but just imo
