General feeling seems to be:

Very expensive

  • GPT 4.5: Price Input: $75.00 / 1M tokens Cached input: $37.50 / 1M tokens Output: $150.00 / 1M tokens
  • GPT 4o: Price Input: $2.50 / 1M tokens Cached input: $1.25 / 1M tokens Output: $10.00 / 1M tokens

But no one seems wowed by the results. Comments are basically saying that it answers in a slightly more natural style, but they are scratching their heads about why the price is so much higher.

Almost seems like a huge swing-and-miss for OpenAI. Maybe they are really falling behind?
