A common activity in our house is playing restaurant or any store my daughter can think of. She had a small pink cash register where she could keep small bills and coins, it had the slot where you slide the debit/credit cards and it made sounds, the most fun thing of all was the barcode scanner with lights and sounds, this cash register got damaged and we threw it away. Today we played supermarket, but we came up with a better idea, instead of using those paper bills and coins, I told my daughter to get her tablet because that would be the new "cash register" since we were going to use the lightning wallets to make the payments, she got very excited and quickly put together what would be the shelf with the products with their respective price tags (2 sats, 5 sats, 9 sats). It was just the 2 of us playing so we took turns so one was the saleswoman and the other the customer... my daughter really liked being the saleswoman and receiving the sats.
I don't think we'll be using this again:
Just to let you know my 5 year old is enjoying himself thanks to this great idea. Also using WoS to avoid killing my wallet content with routing fees ;)
POS option is nice with WoS.
As a side note, I noticed that Bitcoin is not one of the currencies one can set in the wallet... Only fiat (which is expressed in bitcoin).

You don't know how happy I am to read that. I hope you have a lot of fun and learn in the process.

Nice one!
How old is your daughter? Mine are a bit young for that but looking forward to doing something similar

She is 7 years old, and we just started teaching her how to use a lightning wallet a few months ago. Children are very smart and learn very quickly. If your daughters already know numbers and use a cell phone or tablet to watch videos, I think they would be ready to learn how to send and receive sats, that was the signal for us.

We're holding off giving them a tablet. Thinking about giving them a desktop computer. Maybe we can do it on that.

My inner child thinks it would be more fun on a computer. We pulled out a toy laptop just so we had something to type on and play with, and we kept track of sales.

this is excellent practice for the real-life markets, bravo! every kid with a lightning wallet cud be getting sats for various tasks around the house.

It is a practical and fun way for him to learn how to use wallets, and also to learn how to do math.

What a sensational idea of how to introduce our children to this concept.
I'll do the same to prepare my daughter already.

Do it! I recommend it, it is very practical and simple, later on you will be taught the technical aspects.

These types of ideas are spectacular... training our children on how to use Bitcoin is a very educational and fundamental activity.
