As with any health practice, listening to your body is key. If food sequencing makes you feel good and supports your health goals, it may be a valuable addition to your routine.
Personally/anecdotally, I've noticed that if I eat starchy carbs (like potatoes) with or after a big meal with steak and butter or cream cheese etc, nothing really irritates my digestion.
Also, a few times a week I do a yoghurt-banana-nuts-honey side that I usually eat after I've finished the main meal (of steak/protein/fats). Never a problem. If I eat a bowl of those things on their own my stomach usually complains.
