I bought a laptop from them I still haven't assembled. Do you ever feel like there's too much cool stuff going on in the world?

Awesome! I'm going to be in the market for a new desktop soon.

This thing is cool, but unpractical. You could build your own PC for a fraction of the price. The thing that sets Framework apart is their laptops, they should focus on that. Or build a smartphone.

You can take your laptop apart and continue using it as a desktop or server and even upgrade it. That's pretty cool, is it not?

It's kind of like a paint by numbers for a desktop computer which imo has its place. If you're comfortable with building PCs and don't mind busying yourself with it, for sure no point.

Yep, I'm pretty sure they are just making this because customers wanted it. Not this customer but people have been building desktops out of their laptop mother boards for a while.
