I read about this recently. The most interesting part is that they never actually abolished this practice—they just stopped issuing them. This means it could return at any moment. Where I read about it, they mentioned the use of these cards for the capture of Nicolás Maduro, but that was at a different time. Right now, I don’t feel like the climate is right for that, let alone for the U.S. to use it.

Funny enough, they haven’t used this to take down the country’s enemies in recent decades, not even major cartel leaders.
