If the production value is high it's easier to disregard bad stories. I'm glad HBO is holding bad stories accountable though.
GOT season 8 was unforgivable. The basically just did a story fade-out, took none of the risks that made GOT great, and "they all lived happily ever after."

Agreed. High production value sci-fi/fantasy is my jam.
The did botch/phone in the storyline from season 1 to season 2-4 though. Robots escape and try to destroy/control the world. Wow, so creative.
I guess I'm too accepting of botched storylines tho. At some point I just accept the ridiculousness and comic-esqueness of stuff and embrace it.
It's really a bad trait of mine, I also enjoyed GOT season 8 or Riverdale lol
