pull down to refresh

I have been nudging my son to undergo Chinese enrichment classes this year. If he is willing to do so, this buys me two hours of freedom every week.
But so far he has been reluctant. Today, I stared wistfully at the banner advertising Chinese tuition at the Resident’s Corner near my house. I gave it another shot.
Me: 你要学华文吗? (Do you want to learn Chinese?)
Him: 不要。我要跟你学。(Don’t want. I want to learn from you.)
It’s a bittersweet moment for sure.
