There was reporting that Zelensky's advisors were trying to get him to wear a suit, so, as dumb as this seems to me, that was a known issue going in.
It's funny to me that you say he "pissed off everyone", because I mostly saw the people who voted for him cheering him on. Might your "everyone" just be meaningfully different from his?

Maybe publicly but those of us doing policy esp in fusion, fission, and other Department of Energy areas realize it’s a short term win for a long term loss… fact of the matter is unless we do this stuff in America which is going to cost a ton of government money in basic R&D it is easier to get it from someone like Ukraine. Most other easier places fall under the China sphere so this is a true market we could easily tap.
It would be such an easy win win for us monetarily speaking and American First as well
Also this doesn’t factor in how Ukraine is blowing the world out of the water when it comes to rapid drone development. The US should easily partner with them in the development and innovation taking place cause it’s leaving the US, China, and Russia in the dust

I don't see how the negotiating position is even remotely on Zelensky's side here. Ukraine is completely cooked without US support.

Look at Afghanistan. Russia doesn’t have the troops or resources to occupy something as big as Ukraine even with NK support. Ukraine would bleed them dry

Those aren't even remotely similar situations. The population of the conquered territory is already essentially Russian. Holding it will barely be an inconvenience.
I've never been convinced that they even want to hold the rest of Ukraine, but they can unleash much more destruction upon it than they have already.

They annexed parts they do not even have control over that are outside the Donbass? Confused with this statement. Crimea was the ethic home of the Crimean Tartars and they annexed that sooo they do not really care

I was just thinking about the newly conquered territory, but I don't think they'll have any trouble holding Crimea either.
