Your brain is constantly eating itself. This process is called phagocytosis, where cells envelop and consume smaller cells or molecules to remove them from the system. Don’t worry! Phagocytosis isn't harmful, but actually helps preserve your grey matter.

(I know, the boy was 6 years old)
Doodles Made by a 6-year-old Boy Named Onfim, from Russia, c. 1240-1260 CE: created nearly 800 years ago, these drawings were scrawled onto the homework/spelling exercises of a little boy in Novgorod. Onfim began writing the Cyrillic alphabet at the top of this panel, but he then stopped to draw a picture of himself as a warrior on horseback, labeling the figure with his name; the drawing shows him wielding a sword while he impales his enemy with a spear.

The one dollar has an average life span in circulation of 6.6 years according to the Federal Reserve. Compare that to the $100 bill, which has an average life span of 22.9 years because it doesn’t pass between users as frequently. In an interesting twist, the $5 bill has the shortest average lifespan, coming in at only 4.7 years.
