Cassowary eggs are green, this is due to bileverdin, a pigment found in the bile of cassowaries. They measure between 9 and 14 cm, the eggs are really huge.
Why are they green?
The color of cassowary eggs helps them camouflage themselves in the vegetation of tropical forests and protect themselves from predators.
