Another big misleading talk! Ozempic has already made big money by establishing obesity a disease. This time the pharma think tank has come up with a complex idea of proving that the cause of Obesity is Malfunctioning Fat Tissue
Body fat, particularly fat under the skin, known as subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT), plays a crucial role in energy regulation and metabolic health.
When fat accumulates, SAT malfunctions. This seemingly adds to excessive fat storage in organs like the liver and muscles, increasing the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
This study proves that obesity is rather a cause of "condition rooted in complex metabolic science" than just a personal choice.
Yeah, they'll prove it and a big pharma will start selling some treatment and make money..
Millions of people have been misled by the myth that self-control can cure obesity. Seeing obesity as a chronic metabolic disease rather than a moral one is a way forward for effective remedies.
But in reality..."Personalized medicine is a potential replacement."
Yah all bodies are different but we can also understand our bodies by ourselves.
There are certainly ways by which we can recognise what is best for our bodies and what choices we require to make to keeping fit and healthy.
Don't believe me. I've a story of a 70 year old who became so far that he couldn't even wipe his bum one day and realised his faulty choices. May his experience improve the general understanding about obesity.
I retired from a job where I was reasonably active and always busy. I had to keep regular hours and be reasonably fit and mentally alert all the time. When I retired, I went from being busy to being a bit of a couch potato. I watched daytime TV and had regular cups of tea and slices of toast. I started to put on a bit of weight, but hardly noticed it.
The months passed and my weight crept up … and so it continued. Before I knew it I was getting puffed out going upstairs. Eventually, I became so fat that it was becoming difficult to reach to wipe my bum. And then one day I just couldn’t reach at all. not from the front nor the back.
What did it for me was inactivity and snacking.
Luckily, the not being able to clean myself shocked me into action and I lost the extra flab. I’m now back to a reasonable weight and stay active.
I think that many people simply put on weight bit by bit and find workarounds for the difficulties they face. I suppose I could have started using a soft brush on a stick or something to clean myself and just continued to pile on the weight. I’m thankful that I turned my life around in time.
You see, I’m in my 70s now. How many fat 80-year-old men do you know? Probably very few because they died in their 70s. I want to live a long and healthy life, so losing weight was essential.
So, I'm not buying any crap of research that says it's a medical (biological) condition. I'll personally choose to say (you can oppose) obesity is the consequence of cumulative poor personal choices
