My Raspberry Pi 4 (running Umbrel) has been disconnecting approximately once a month, and my 1TB SSD now has only 80GB of space remaining. I'm considering an upgrade—possibly moving to a Pi 5 with a 2TB drive—but I'm open to any suggestions for a better setup within a similar budget. Any recommendations?

HP800 Mini. Or one of the comparable machines from Dell or Lenovo (HP uses Mini name, Dell uses Micro, Lenovo uses Tiny).

Those are much much better choices for a node over a SBC for a similar budget.

Looks like they are 600 EUR + and so many different versions, need to look into it, thanks

Look for HP800 G3. Those regularly go for $50-75 USD and usually includes 8GB of RAM.

I see, thank you, I think it's used / refurbished, but looks like a good option, thanks!

Get a refurbished mini pc and install Linux. I got a Lenovo think centre, 8th gen intel i3, 8gb ram, 512gb SSD for £80. installed Debian on it. attached some usb hard disks, now it's a server.

far more powerful than a raspberry pi and barely more expensive.

Odroid M1 8GB RAM + 1/2TB NVMe SSD

Looks like you need to install the OS on SD card there as well? I think it’s the main downside of Raspberry pi
