Quite a list! Bowie is such an inspiration - the consummate intellectual, artist, mystic, and entrepreneur. He's got it all. Two books that stood out to me:

The Origin Of Consciousness In The Breakdown Of The Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes

The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels

Man, that's an interesting and eclectic mix. Would never have put Spark in with those other four, though I realize a lot of folks love her (and the movie was fantastic). But the other four books are four of the greatest of the 20th century.
