Awe shit here we go with adding more fuel to the chaos flames....
U.S. District Judge William Alsup’s ruling broadens his previous order to now require the government to reinstate probationary employees fired on Feb. 13 and 14 at the Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior and Treasury departments.
I wonder what is the legal basis of all this argumentation. Most employment contracts in the private sector are "at will", meaning the company can fire someone for any reason so long as it doesn't violate the law. So either the firings violated existing law or the firings violated the employment contract used by federal agencies

My understanding of it is that the argument is being made that OPM made the choice to fire when the Departments/Agencies are the ones who are supposed to... its a seperation of powers thing.
The thing is.... Departments and Agencies are talking about further downsizing so what are they going to be hired for an hour then fired again? It isnt going to actually do anything. Plus when you look at the Senate Dems looking to shut down the government all nonessential are furloughed and most of those fired would fall into this jurisdiction lol so they what work for a day?
Its stupid I see how the process might have been messed up but it doesnt mean that the Departments and Agencies arnt continuing to downsize
