I've used many wallets, including Muun.
Each one has pros and cons.
I like Muun for it's simplicity, it works well, and I haven't seen any large fees, to the contrary, free or very small fees.
Also it allows an extremely simple lightning to on-chain transfer of funds.
It's also non-custodial.
I don't know why many people are so against muun.
You can use other wallets as well for other use cases. You don't have to only use Muun.

People are against for how payments are process in the back end. The system how is now built might not scale well, but it can also evolve.
And as you said, in the moment you stop liking it, you can move on and stop using it.
