In 2017, the Batesville School District in Arkansas implemented a series of energy efficiency measures, including the installation of approximately 1,400 solar panels at Batesville High School. These initiatives have enabled the district to reduce its annual utility expenses, which exceeded $600,000, saving more than $300,000 per year. These savings helped turn a $250,000 budget deficit into a $1.8 million surplus in three years. The additional funds were earmarked to increase teacher salaries, which helped attract and retain quality teaching staff and improve student academic performance.
In places where solar is economically viable, I don't understand why every roof doesn't have solar on it. Plus, you could make parking lots so much better by creating covered parking under solar panels.
