There is a big debate on it cause surfing a wave pool for a profesional is it the essence of Surf ?
When you surf the ocean you need to learn the wind, the stream , the pic of the wave, adapt to the sand bar/recif, the size of the wave, the force of the wave, the tube, the strategy as every surfer has its own bags of tricks.....
The waves are always the same on wave pool and so the surf is.... so may be is it a little boring for a professional surfer and may be for the public too!!!
And is it ecologic also in a place as United Arab Emirates ...?

Yeah I agree everyone knowing exactly what the wave will do is not as easy to determine the best waterman out of the group

I wonder if it will get a bit boring when every wave is exactly the same. Unless will be good for doing aerial moves not as extreme as say Hawaii pipeline

I think this could work. Consistently good waves and most countries have one or more now or could build one
