I recently switched from android to iphone and one of the main reasons was I thought Apple does a better job of protecting my data. Forensic procedure used to be just put it in a faraday cage but now because of automatic reboot and the difficulty of accessing the phone before AFU (After First Unlock) they are being more proactive with the data collection. New advanced anti-theft features enable additional security protocols when the device is not near a "Significant Location" meaning cops need to be by your house or work to even attempt the unlock. It's intersting to see the cat and mouse game Apple and law enforcement play to balance their customers privacy with the ability to easily prosecute criminals
