I think there needs to be fair concessions. Russia admits they invaded, they withdraw troops from most of the territories 'they have', and they keep a small number of 'new territories' as a symbolic gesture.
And Ukraine also agrees to this, to not attack and also to allow international companies/institutions to come in and "verify" that there is actually peace.
That way the Russians get a little bit (but withdraw most of their troops) and the Ukrainians get safety from further attacks, but at an economic price.
That way there's a 'lasting' peace and both sides make concessions. Right?
