What I have heard is that, for now, it will be based on voluntarism. People will be able to, if they want, invest their savings into funds to finance the war industry. The placements will locked for a minimum 5 years. This is how it's being sold at the moment.

But there is indeed a widespread belief in the alternative media that there will be confiscations. I am personally all in bitcoin, and wish Europeans consider that option seriously... I'm convinced that Bitcoin will guarantee peace, whereas the other option may lead to a nuclear confrontation with Russia...
I haven't seen this in any press releases or government announcements.
This was the source someone else commented... and it doesn't support or mention anything about confiscations? Conspiracy theories do not help - so far it is all for better investments or funds within the EU to improve competitiveness.
As far as there being confiscations... it would be the end of the Euro as we know it and it is very hard to believe. If there were confiscations it would cause a crisis in Europe and there is no way it would happen.
Right now the Russian 'funds' are still frozen in European banks and those have not been touched.
I don't know where where this 'confiscation' conspiracy theory comes from (and I don't speak french)
