"And by the way, yesterday I sold 1,000," Lutnick said on the podcast.
U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick announced on the All In podcast Thursday that he has sold 1,000 Gold Cards in one day.
I'm kinda clueless about the verification for Lutnick's words as there's only one media outlet that's covered it.
But I can see it shared by many individual creators on X and others. However....
Isn't it just too much?
Now, who do you know internationally that has $5M dollars?
Why would they be coming to the US? Why would they not have come here sooner?
Are these the Gold visas or Visa Cards with $5M spending limits? Because they're a scam on the American Tax Payer either way.
I've never heard of a version of the American Dream where people get handed it for $5M.
Literally and figuratively.
Communism? Socialism? Asylum Seekers?
People don't want US citizenship.
They want the 'gold card' tax loophole (which the Trump administration conveniently never mentions).
Basically the 'gold card' citizenship allows gold card citizens to not pay taxes on overseas income even as US citizens.
Right now US citizens pay taxes on US-based income... but also overseas income. Gold card holders pay taxes on only US-based income... not overseas but they can still be US citizens. They are "special" even though the Trump admin... never mentions this for some 'strange' reason lol.
It looks like just another way for the Trump Admin to protect and shelter the 'ultra wealthy' while pretending they care for the 'common man'. (To whom they'll sell memecoins ;) )
