The broccoli sprouts I’ve been growing this week are ready for harvest.
It’s kind of amazing they took up 3/4 of my 1L glass jar, all I added was 2tbsp of seeds.
The total maintenance was swishing around some water twice a day through the jar’s stainless steel mesh lid.
This might be the best food I’ve ever grown (maybe the only?), and it tastes great too.
Broccoli sprouts smell like broccoli, but they are way more crisp and fresh than anything I’ve ever bought.
They also have 50x more antioxidants than mature broccoli, and have a peppery taste which makes it easy to pair them with scrambled eggs for breakfast.
10/10 experience, taking recos on what foods I should sprout next.
