Say hello to next-generation construction. A UK-built construction robot from Construction Automation is taking on bricklaying – and it’s fast, accurate and nearly hands-free!
Here’s what makes it a game-changer:
Accurately reads digital blueprints
Autonomously lays bricks, corners and mortar
Tablet-controlled interface for easy operation
Requires just 2 operators (supervisor + material supply)
Delivers consistent quality, increases safety and productivity
But not without controversy… Unions are raising concerns about job security and labour equality.
One thing is clear: Automation in construction is no longer a concept – it’s a reality.
Would you trust a robot to build your house?

Looks great! Hopefully it's gets some mass adoption and the price of housing can come down.
One thing I hear is that building a roof is currently not possible with robotics.

I believe that, since it is a new technology and is just gaining market share in construction, it will not be cheap. However, it has all the potential to become established in the sector. And, regarding building a roof using robotics, it really is something more complex.

Job title: material supplier, lol. Looks like we need another robot for this dumb task.
