I'm a big fan of Child's Play. Child’s Play is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and teens in children’s hospitals around the world. Child’s Play currently has a network of over 180 children’s hospitals worldwide as well as nearly 200 domestic violence shelters across the United States.

That's where I got my cat. I think that's a pretty good one.

Yes, we got our dog at the local humane society. We got her when she was 2. She was malnourished when the humane society got her. My wife fixed that real quick.

When I get a real house that's what me and my wife plan on doing, rescuing an animal. Them fellas are the purest creatures

I've given to several Bitcoin projects doing "charity" (to be fair, I don't like to call it that way, more like "projects to empower people") over Geyser. It's charity in the sense that I don't expect a return on my money and I feel like there is a chance the money might be doing some good, for someone else. Also, with the lightning payments, only very little money gets lost in overhead and most arrives directly to the person needing it. Those projects also often allow one to investigate how the money will be managed by checking social media activity of the person setting up the project, and thus, it doesn't feel like dumping money into a black hole.

I like giving food instead of money. I don't trust them with the money.

Child's Play is pretty transparent, and you can donate directly to children if you like, but yea I get that

none.
Can't remember last I donated to charity; don't think I believe any/most of them on net do any good. If I were to, it'd be one of these effective altruism (like GiveWell) that investigate/assess impact.
(for your hardcore maxis out there: Hass McCook on the pages of BM used to say that the best charitable thing you could do for the world is buy more BTC)

I think giving a sick kid a Gameboy advance is a net positive. Studies show they need less pain medication etc.

I think it’s self-explanatory. Very few things worse than seeing a child suffer from cancer

I don't think I currently donate to charities. However, I donate regularly (monthly/yearly) to online content creators that I appreciate, e.g mises online, freedomain, tocsin, rgnr, The Duran, and I probably forget one or two more...

I donated to a couple organizations a while back. That was a really bad decision. One of them turned really woke around the covid time period, and was an advocate of masking and vaccine, and made lots of excuses for government overreach.
I'm now VERY hesitant about any donations. I'm going to think long and hard about them.
Maybe it's just best to buy bitcoin.

Local hospital foundation. People applaud Canada’s healthcare system but what they don’t know is the Government pays salaries and keeps the lights on: that’s it. Every piece of equipment in every hospital in Ontario is purchased through donations.
We also support an Education Trust in Mathare, Kenya and a sailing school for differently abled children. The boats are actually quite insane. Kids can sail by literally blowing into a straw if that’s all they can do.
