Honestly, the ability to hide posts would be really helpful to sort through them all. Maybe something like what 4chan has, where you click a minus sign and the post is visually de-emphasized. But the post doesn't just vanish; maybe it only shows the title and a plus sign to unhide it.

Sure! It should be more of a ‘filter’ option though. Not really a ‘sort’.
