Definitely a hard thing to do. Just the mere act of writing it I would imagine makes death feel closer, forces you to comes to terms with the reality of it all. Much easier on the mind to put it off..

I firmly believe everyone should leave a short memoir for those closest to them of what they learned along the way. I have been thinking about doing this for years and outlined a number of lessons i want to share with my kids should I not be around to share them personally with them but I have never done it. I don't know if it is procrastination holding me back or grappling with the acceptance of even a slim chance I wouldn't be around for my kids.
