I had a big dumb black lab when I was growing up. What a wonderful friend he was.

A neighborhood black lab named Angus fathered some pups with our Irish Setter due to an unknown and unplanned liaison. Those were great dogs!

When l was younger, l had a chocolate lab mix.
They are a dog that need quite a lot of attention, but less than a husky.

Labs are good tempered and agile, and I've never had a dumb lab before, maybe yours was @Undisciplined , that's why she was dumb.

I think he was probably more eager and enthusiastic than dumb. He had trouble sitting still long enough to learn anything.
Once he turned 12 and mellowed out a bit, he was able to learn a bunch of tricks.

Ouch, better enthusiastic than dumb. So what did you do with your dumb, @Undisciplined yet enthusiastic and friendly black Lab?

I didn't name any of the handshakes, beyond the basics like "high-5" and "shake".

The Labrador Retriever or simply Labrador is a British breed of retriever gun dog. It was developed in the United Kingdom from St. John's water dogs imported from the colony of Newfoundland.
Labradors are good tempered, very agile and are often considered a better choice for first-time dog owners due to their friendlier nature and easier training unlike their counterpart, The German Shepherds which are a better fit for experienced owners who can provide consistent training and socialisation.
