where is the yield coming from?

What's with the probability sum for all four higher than 100...?

where is the yield coming from?

It's a multi option market so the yield comes from the disqualified teams. As you can see there that all disqualified teams still have some positive rate, however very low. But all of them add up to the yield for the qualified teams.

Yes, there will only be one winner but right now even if you bet on all four semifinalist teams, you'll end up winning on your total investment.

Also, id suggest you go to the market and calculate by yourself. It'll be clear how it works.

yeah, just did.

It's a tad fishy; arbitrage shouldn't be this easy.

But I just paid (275+272+134+219)=900 sats for four 1,000-sats contracts... one of them is going to pay of, and give me a nice, juicy 11% return

Is it because there's so much liquidity in the bet that arb purchases haven't moved the odds price?

reply

Yeah. Liquidity + some bets on the disqualified teams.

You will get 11% for sure. If you sell your shares for the would be disqualifiers midway through the semis, you can even win more.

reply

Well, that's hoping there isn't a turnaround in the games!

reply

No. Actually we're still not many at Predyx so it's easier to get out with sats even after the results are declared.

Weird weird weird
