It's true. I've been posting some longer comments but the replies were all spammy.
He can change the parameters for this one as well. Just need to set that unworthy one word comments will disqualify the participant.
Or may be some penalty like when someone spams the comments for the first time, he'll get a minus, for the second time a bigger minus and for the third time all his previous comments become void.

Yes, hard to police. However I don't think anyone would try to spam if there's a "Rule of Disqualification".

I don't know if he wants to do it at this point since they have been allowed for two days now. I don't mind this idea but probably the contest probably shouldn't have been a week and should have discouraged spam. It's fun but the point is try and make SN better not have everyone's notifications filled with nonsense so they can't even see legitimate posts and comments. I zapped a couple of your posts from earlier today that came into my notifications but I wouldn't have even noticed them if I didn't scroll down all the way to the rewards notifications to make sure I didn't miss anything. Must have been 100 comments, almost all garbage.

I agree. Two of my posts yesterday went unnoticed and I blame the spam comments on this post.
One of the two was about a Bitcoin course. I'm pretty sure that stackers have interest in such a news. But it was buried, not a single zap!!
