cocoa prices went freakin' nuts in 2024 after production dipped by 14%. Anyone here got the lowdown on why that jump was so massive? I'm scratching my head – how does a 14% drop make the price triple compared to the all-time high?
I assume they had a weak harvest?

Totally. And get this, the brainiacs are saying this production fall happened 'cause it got hotter in the places that grow it. But here's the kicker: how does a 14% drop equal a 200% price hike? It doesn't make any sense! Is that just a rip-off, or is some bad stuff coming our way?
