Do you play the PvP Clinch Solitaire game?
If you clicked on this, chances are you probably do, or at least you're interested in the game.
If you do play, awesome. If you don’t, it’s a fun way to stack some extra sats. Just be cautious 👀 it's a fair game, and you can lose.
Luckily for you, I’ve got a tip or two you can use to gain an edge over your opponent, fairly, of course. It just takes a little strategy.

Tip 1: Don’t Play a Two Without Its Ace
When flipping through the stock pile, be cautious with Twos. Before placing one on the tableau, check if its matching Ace (same suit) is already in the foundation. If the Ace isn’t there yet, consider holding off, that Two becomes dead weight.
Playing the Two too early can:
  • Clog your tableau, limiting future moves.
  • Block other cards from being played.
I personally could've avoided losing many games if only I knew this sooner.

Tip 2: Track Unplayable Cards in The Pile Manually
If you're like me and don't have the best short term memory, this tip will bring you far!
When the game starts and you start flipping through the pile, quickly write down all the cards that can’t be played yet. This way, when you reach the end of the pile, you can check your notes instead of re-flipping to see if any cards are now playable. This is going help you avoid losing points by unnecessary re-flipping the pile.
How I track cards quickly.
To save time, I use shortened notations for unplayable cards as I flip through the stock pile. For example:
  • King of Hearts ~ Kh
  • 2 of Clubs ~ 2c
  • Queen of Spades ~ Qs
Use consistent abbreviations to avoid confusion mid-game.
When you check your notes and see that you have playable cards, play it, and then cross it off your list, this prevents confusion about which cards are still buried in the pile.
You’ve got 6 minutes per game, and I know this might seem time-consuming at first, but with a bit of practice, it becomes quick and natural. You’ll learn to recognize when to stop flipping and how to plan your moves more efficiently.
Remember! Score is the name of the game!
