Whether a stamp is required is up to the relay operator.
The relay run by Keychat requires a stamp, but there are plenty of free Nostr relays out there.

Already downloaded and tested . Ran into an issue with adding a contact after some tinkering i figured it out
My question is do you always need ecash to talk?
