DreamWorks studios was created by a former Disney employee. Jeffrey Katzenberg produced some of Disney’s biggest hits, namely: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. With the success of these classics, he requested a promotion. However, due to internal conflicts, he got fired, instead. It was then that he founded DreamWorks Studios with other familiar film personalities, Steven Spielberg and David Geffen.
