at this point, all of these acquisitions by tether start to make me think that they have a lot of questionable funds on their balance sheet and the best way to get rid of questionable funds is to buy a company with them and then use the clean cash flows as a way to replenish with clean dollars

I think they have more cash than they know what to do with, if they were trying to hide it they wouldn't have bought the 10% stake in Juventus. Any business that produces stuff and generates revenue over time is a good way to diversify from just holding debt

yeah i think they are diversifying but i wonder why at this point in bitcoin adoption. unless these investments buy them some favors in the jurisdictions they invest

I guess they're preparing for ZIRP where they can't just sit on short term paper and collect healthy profits so diversify now and try to generate higher returns from their growing cash pile
