What a statement by Saquon. Except for very very specific situations I am not a fan of either side skipping an opportunity to celebrate with the President. Plus he has spent time with Presidents on both sides.
“lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand,” the NFL star said in a post on the social platform X.
“Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day,” he added.
Props to him for being above the critics and just saying what he feels. This isn’t an endorsement or a critique it’s a celebration and respecting the Office.
Good for Saquon. People are losers.

Indeed. There was a time when stuff like this was no big deal. Making it a big deal is dumb.

I like Saquon more and more each time I hear about him

He really does seem to just be a hell of a person!

No surprise, I feel exactly the opposite to you. I wish they would snub presidents, regardless of party.
That leads to us agreeing that only refusing to interact with Trump is lame.

You know... it might surprise you but if I were in his shoes I wouldn't snub a president. I'm not invested enough I guess.
reply
I probably wouldn't either actually, but my preference is that other people would.

I mean I see what you’re saying but I think unless the President attacks you, your family, or idk race/religion etc it’s just meh. When if/when they attack things I think that’s a different story or if they are athletes who are politically active. He’s not one of those types of guys
reply
From my perspective the president, as head of state, is attacking me and my family.
