I just saw this on nostr, too. Pretty interesting.
I wonder if they'll allow them to continue doing this. I've heard that gas taxes used to be posted as markups at the pump, but now it's not allowed.
Reminds me of a restaurant in Belize that had "tax extorted" printed on their receipts.

"Hostile"... you know revealing taxes is hostile... I guess it is hostile when I look at my phone bill and see the itemized taxes and "fees". Its all marketing. Its all ridiculous.

For the Trump fans... if I have to pick which way the government steals from people I'd pick stealing with tariffs but its still theft. A third party is entering a transaction and taking money from one party. Like all taxes, and non-voluntary fees, etc its anti-free market and its morally wrong.

This didn't story last long... more recent reporting Amazon says it was "only considered for low cost amazon imported products" and that they are not gonna do it now

I'm so torn... on the one had if Trump does tariffs its evil. But on the other hand Amazon is also evil. I DON'T KNOW WHO HATE MORE!!!
