I'm with you on Tomlin. He's always overachieving the talent he has, plus he managed to keep Antonio Brown in check.

There's more to coaching than drawing up fancy schemes.

Have to give a guy credit for 20 years of playoffs even if they haven’t really been a contender in many years.

reply

the perception of Tomlin in PA vs outside PA, almost night and day

On the last regular season game of the year, Ravens and Steelers fans wanted to lose so they could fire their coach. Both fan bases got what they wanted.

reply

It's easy to forget how bad most coaches are, when yours have been good for decades...or so I'd imagine, obviously I'm not speaking from experience.

reply

I know Steeler fans have been frustrated with Tomlin as early as 2017

reply

I understand, but I'm also keenly aware of how much worse coaches tend to be than Tomlin.

reply

That's fair but I never considered Tomlin to be top 5, maybe top 10

have you noticed no one in the media criticized him?

reply

Maybe because they're hoping he'll come work for them

reply

Antonio Brown was too insane to even make it to Raiders training camp, immediately after 8 of the best WR seasons in NFL history under Tomlin. I'll always consider that his greatest accomplishment.

reply

haha, that's very true.
