I don't think he's someone you have to avoid for character reasons. My sense is that he immediately felt all of the things a decent human being is supposed to feel after making such a horribly bad decision.
I'd like to see him get another chance. I also think his pay should probably go to the Tintor family, though.

He was inconsolably sobbing on the sidewalk when the first responders arrived on the scene. I've always had a lot of sympathy for him.

Hard to imagine he would find a team for 2026 if he is getting out in Aug 2026. Maybe someone will sign him to the practice squad and see how he does and then elevate him later in the year or give him a shot at a roster spot in 27.
