Today I want to share a set of photographs that I took with the male models from the modeling agency I'm working with. These photos came about on a class day where we were practicing different poses and different planes for the photos. Although it was just practice, we liked the photos so much that I ended up editing them to share with you.
The idea was to confront them with the part of themselves they liked least and take them out of their comfort zone. Several said they felt a bit uncomfortable with close-up photos (of the face), so that's what we did first. I took several photos of each person and we tried slight movements of the face until we found the angle that best suited each one.
The idea was to "discover" their best angle so that they would have more confidence in future photo sessions.
Then we practiced a couple of poses. The objective of this class was for the models to learn at least a couple of poses so that they could access them naturally when they are in future photo sessions and not be left thinking "and now what do I do?" since in a paid photo session they must perform in the most professional and natural way possible.
That day while they were exploring the poses, I took several photos of them and showed them so they could see themselves and thus they themselves could choose the ones they liked the most.
Obviously, I took many photos that day and the ones I am showing you were the ones I liked the most.
It seemed to me that it was a good class because I was able to leave something positive for the models that I know will help them a lot in their future photo sessions.
I hope you liked the photos as much as I did and thanks for all the support
