pull down to refresh

April is an exciting time of year as we head into playoffs for NBA and NHL, MLB season starts and NFL draft.
I think the trend should continue through the playoffs and then we will get a lull until football season begins.
@metadavid and I spent 3 days “arguing” about who the top 5 coaches in the NFL are. Credit to him for posting it. I think these kinds of debates can be a nice addition to the things we do regularly, and especially during the summer months when things slow down sports wise.
Maybe we can even tie it into the pod. A Great Sports Debate segment on occasion.
It was a good conversation, and we had a few other people jump in! Happy to support the platform and have civil debates. 🫡

It was fun. I still think Sirianni is 11th best coach in the NFL and happens to have the best front office in the NFL backing him but I am probably in the minority.
After Purdy signs his massive new contract we can rekindle the Purdy debate and you can all tell me why he isn't a top 10 QB despite the stats and film saying otherwise.

I think I’d probably put him in the top 10, but I am not sure if that everyone agrees with that.

I think I had him 7 heading into last season and he probably dropped a couple spots with what was an ok year but not a great year and the emergence of Daniels. Maybe next week I will do a list of the top 10 and stackers can yell at me. Haha

Looking forward to yelling at you, I mean reading it. 🤣

I agree. Eventually, lists and rankings should become a big thing, like they are in other sports media. For now, we don't usually get enough participation on them (or, at least, I don't).
Maybe we should have a recurring weekly post with links to all the evergreen ranking and debate posts, so people can find them and jump in.

Good idea.
