An Italian artist just announced in the small town of Fornelli a statue of Satoshi, involving the administration in the project and the community of Fornelli in Bitcoin!
Not all heroes wear capes!
Italian article here:
A human figure, on the other hand, can really speak.
Have you noticed more interest or curiosity about Bitcoin among the citizens of Fornelli after the inauguration? Absolutely yes. People came to me to ask how Bitcoin works, how it can be accepted. Businesses wanted to get involved. Some bought books to study it. I did everything myself: promotion, assistance, support. I still have time to answer everyone. But seeing this enthusiasm was the real gain.
I like initiatives like this, art and icons help a lot to convey the idea within people's daily lives.
I just hope this doesn't become something religious in the future. After all, we are all Satoshi.
My Satoshi is not a hooded hacker. He is a savior figure. I was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi, because for me Satoshi is the savior of our society.
