Yeah thats right. I think its really hard to tell if the current OP_RETURN filter does anything meaningful or not. If it prevents shitcoiners from doing shitcoin things it would be better to leave it as it is but on the other hand it could also be that it already does nothing so it could be removed without any consequences.
